Moon Palace Resort - Arriving at the Resort

Upon your arrival at the Moon Palace Resort, you will see many of the Moon Palace Resort staff waiting on the steps leading up to the main lobby of the resort. Once you are dropped off, the staff will take over by assisting you with loading your luggage onto a cart or helping you to carry it to the lobby. A general rule of thumb to follow is to leave a $1 tip per bag (although if you are on an all inclusive trip this is certainly not mandatory, but a nice gesture).

You will walk into one of the most impressive lobbies in all of Cancun. The Moon Palace Resort lobby boasts of marble columns and amazing stained glass ceilings surrounded by lots of hustle and bustle as many vacationers check in and check out at the same times. You will be escorted to a seat to wait for a reservationist or if they are not very busy, you will be escorted to the reservation desk where you will check in. You will receive more information about the Moon Palace Resort, your keys, and receive answers to any other questions you may have. If you wish to exchange your currency, there is a currency exchange desk on site. If you need money from an ATM, there is an ATM in the lobby as well.

You will see many shops and lots of restaurants. There is so much to do at the Moon Palace Resort so you will want to get right to your room, get settled and get ready to explore your amazing surroundings. The attendant will then show you to your room.

Moon Palace Resort - The Ride to The Resort

Once you have left the Cancun airport and have chosen your means of transportation whether it be by the van provided by [Moon Palace Resort], a taxi or a bus, you will have a fairly short ride to the resort.

Most of the time you will get a driver who will be cordial although not real talkative. Sometimes this is because the driver might not speak a lot of English. Other times it's because he is waiting for you to ask him questions. If his English is good enough he will usually open up and relax and you can have a great ride to the Moon Palace Resort.

The other interesting thing about the ride to Moon Palace is if you are in a van, you may meet people from other countries. This makes the ride a lot of fun. You can get to know each other and a little bit about each other's cultures. Even though you will only be in the van for about 15-20 minutes, it's still great to have a conversation with someone you don't know.

The scenery will be fairly boring on the way. There isn't much to see. The area doesn't look very nice and you will see some minor poverty, but mostly you will see gray streets and nothing really worth noticing. You may see lots of Mexican workers building roads and resorts. They will be working in the hot sun in long pants and shirts for the most part. It's hard to believe they can even work in the hot conditions.

As you approach the Moon Palace Resort you will enter a gate where a security guard will check in the vehicle. You will continue down a long road for what seems like forever, but then you will see the amazing Moon Palace right in front of you.

When you arrive, the driver will help you with your luggage and so will the attendents waiting for you on the steps. They are typically very gracious and helpful and even though you may be on an all inclusive trip, don't forget to tip. They really don't make very much money.
